Osteopathy is a manual therapy based on the anatomy and physiology of the human body. It focuses on the relationship between structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) in order to support and enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal. Osteopaths are able to address the root cause of the patient’s discomfort with the understanding that the human body is an interrelated system of bones, muscles, nerves, connective tissue/fascia, blood vessels, organs, lymphatic, and fluids. Osteopathic treatments help to re-establish optimal motion and function of each body structure while helping the body auto-regulate.
